BritMums gets a shout out in Essentials magazine…

Family Quest app update

Hey BritMums! It’s been a while since we updated you about Family Quest, the pirate themed app we developed as part of our ‘On the Go Mum’s’ campaign. Well, good news as it seems to have reached the heady heights of 400 downloads and counting. It’s currently being downloaded around 15 times a day and usage is now averaging at about 30 visits per day, peaking at 54 in the last month. There were 1800 page views in the whole of December.

If you happen to be an Essentials magazine reader, look out for Family Quest as it’s just been named their app of the month.

Background

At the start of 2011 Three commissioned research that showed mums were losing an average of 135 hours a year because they were not putting their mobile phones to full use. In a partnership with BritMums, Three hosted five workshops with around 50 bloggers from around the country to generate ideas for brilliant time saving apps. Family Quest was chosen as the winner.
