Who doesn’t love a Bank Holiday weekend? Especially when it’s celebrating the LEGEND who is our Queen? I have been so pleased to see the effort that people in my village, neighbouring villages and all around the country have been making to mark a once-in-a-lifetime event…60 years on the throne. I hope that everyone is enjoying special time with their family while honouring the amazing reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
In between all of the bunting, fairy cakes, Victoria Sponge and Pimm’s, you may find some time to blog so we’ve got a couple of blogging prompts to inspire you this week. Ready, steady…BLOG!
Prompt 1: Patriotism
We’ve seen unprecedented patroitism in the lead up to this Jubilee Weekend. Union flags are flying everywhere, bunting lines the streets and everyone seems pretty proud to be British (or at least celebrating in the UK). What’s your take on it all? What does it mean to be patriotic? Have you been flying the flag in your house? What makes this year so special and why are you proud to be a part of it? Or…maybe you’re not interested in all of the pomp and circumstance? Are you fed up with the commercialism of the event? Are you not a “royalist”? Share your thoughts with us!
Prompt 2: Summer Dreams
Tell us what your dreams are for this summer! Maybe it’s having loads of activities planned and programmes and camps to enroll the children in. Maybe you’re escaping for 6 weeks to some amazing location to get back to the heart of your family? Maybe you’re dreaming of the IDEAL summer where a nanny takes over and you spend the day as a Lady of Leisure? Be it fact or fiction, we’d love to know what you’re hoping for this summer!
As always, we love it when you share your posts with us. Pop your post url into the Linky below (we’re going with a Thumbnail Linky this time…we want to see how pretty your post is!) and sit back and enjoy the rest of the bloggers who are also inspired by a BritMums Blogging Prompt. It’s great if you can take the time to comment on one or two additional posts to share the blogging love. Feel free to Tweet us (@BritMums) to share your post link as well. We always do our best to RT to our over-10,000 followers!
In the meantime, have an amazing weekend! Enjoy your families, wave the flag and tuck into some wonderful food.
Happy Blogging (and Jubilee weekend)!
