Well, here we are all glued to the television watching amazing athletes who are working their little hearts out to attempt to bring home the gold. Or silver. Or bronze. Isn’t it amazing to finally see all of the work of the last 7 years culminate in what 27 million of us witnessed on Friday night with the Opening Ceremony? Despite not being British myself, I can’t tell you how proud I was to be a permanent resident of this glorious country. Danny Boyle did the UK very proud indeed…so say all of us.
In honour of London 2012, the athletes, the volunteers and the members of the Armed Services who have stepped up to make the Olympic Games spectacular and safe, let’s take this week to have an Olympic Moment blogging prompt.
What did you think about the Opening Ceremony? Did you keep your children up until after midnight to see it through? What events are you looking forward to? Are you lucky enough to have tickets to one or more events? What can you tell us about BEING THERE? Share with us your Olympic Moments for this week’s BritMums Blogging Prompts. As usual, add your post url to the Linky below. The Linky will remain open until the end of August so you’ve got plenty of time to wax melodic about the Olympics. Enjoy…and GO TEAM GB!!!

Returned from London Sunday night and what a trip! Loved London 2012: great venues, the volunteers were FABULOUS and the city had a great vibe. Thought the usual London traffic would be extra crazy but it was surprisingly fine. Only caught in one Tube crush and that was on a weekday at rush hour on a very busy line. London: you have done an amazing job! Be proud.
