I hate to admit it but I’ve been watching the X-Factor USA. God help me! It’s a bit cringe-worthy, not because of the talent or ability of the contestants, but because of their sob stories as to why they are attempting to go through to the “live shows” of X-Factor. Most of the contestants seem to be unemployed or working in cafes or making burritos (I like that guy!) or just out of rehab or too young to even work legally. All of them seem to be giving it ONE LAST CHANCE to make their families/wives/children/bank managers proud of them and to be able to give up that minimum wage job sweeping floors or some other menial sort of thing.
This has got me to thinking…what are your hopes and dreams for yourself and/or your children? I imagine it’s not necessarily to audition for X-Factor or Britain’s Got Talent (but if so, let us know!) but perhaps slightly loftier in ambition. Do you hope that your children will attend Uni? Do you think they’re destined for fame and fortune and stardom and would you do anything you could to support them to make it happen? Well, this is the theme for our BritMums Blogging Prompts this week. Here we go…
- Personal Prompt: What are your hopes and dreams for yourself, your family and/or your children? How can you help to make it happen?
- Blogging Prompt: What do you hope to achieve through blogging? What makes your blog UNIQUE and SPECIAL?
Tackle one prompt or the other or push the boat out and do both! We’re providing you with a Linky to add your efforts below so that the BritMums Blogosphere can enjoy your musings. Many of us are on Half-Term Break this week so hopefully you’ll have the time to participate but if not, save the prompt for another day when inspiration is low. Have a wonderful week and Happy Blogging!
