BritMums Blogger of the Week: SAHD And Proud

Did everyone enjoy the looooong Jubliee Weekend? I know I did! Cake, Pimms, jumpers and patio heaters were the order of the weekend. Oh, and wellie boots. Don’t you just love how the weather puts on a show for our Queen?! Well, now that we’ve had the opportunity to come down after our 4-day weekend (which I think we should repeat EVERY year from now forward), it’s time to honour another delightful blogger. Are you ready? Put up the bunting again…it’s time to celebrate @SAHDandproud!

That’s right! BritMums is honouring a BritDad with Blogger of the Week this week. Huzzah! Here’s what Spencer has to say about himself:

I’m a dad to two and a husband to none. I was but not everything works out.

It’s fair to say this year has been a complicated one, and so this is my new blog which contains some of the old stuff and some new stuff. I aim to blog a couple of times a week, or simply when I feel like I want to get something off my chest.

If you follow me as @SAHDandproud on Twitter then you’ll know I was a stay-at-home dad for 3 years. I have two children, one of each, and I no longer do this.I have contemplated changing my name, but I thought I’d keep it. The SAHD can now stand for something else. Spencer, A Hairy Dad for example.

We’re so pleased that Spencer is back in the blogging world and Twittersphere and are proud to report that he will also be joining our esteemed group of Dad Bloggers on the Panel Discussion at BritMums Live! on 23 June. You won’t want to miss that session!

It’s time to get the tissues out for Spencer’s latest post, Lost and Found. What beautiful and heartbreaking writing. We’re loving the Going out for the day?
