As Brits we love to talk about the weather. And understanding the weather is important for our kids.
Now, we can learn more about it, keep them entertained over the summer and send real weather updates right to the Met Office experts!
And we’ll be hosting our very own #BritishWeatherWatch Twitter party so you can find out more about the weather, share your own weather stories and hear ours – our favourite kinds of weather, our funniest weather-related tales, and conditions where we are now.

The party is sponsored by the Met Office, and now, with the Met Office Weather Observations Website (WOW), we can really do something to get kids involved with the weather, help them learn about it and keep the dreaded summer holiday ‘I’m boreds’ to a minimum.
The aim of the site is to help people learn about the weather by getting involved in it. On the site we can submit observations about our local weather and get our children excited about the weather they see and experience. The Met Office will use our observations to verify and help make its forecasts even more accurate, so your kids’ inputs could really make a difference! Check out the WOW site now.
