With Mother’s Day knocking at the door, Easter just around the corner and Spring about to make our lives a lot brighter and energetic I have been looking through plenty of new recipes and wanting to try new things.
I’ve just had a wonderful recent trip to Italy and I got to eat my favourite Trentino dish ever Strangolapreti with Gorgonzola sauce #ToDieFor which I shall be sharing as soon as I can on Mari’s World.
I’m kicking off the March round up with chocolate as everyone who knows me knows I can’t survive without it. I met Judith Lewis at the Bite N Write event last November and she gave a superb SEO chat to us. Mostly About Chocolate, her blog, is precisely that. She focuses on the Big Ingredient which at this time of year is very much highlighted and has a ton of excellent competitions to enter.
Second up let me introduce you to Feeding Boys and a Firefighter Katie Bryson‘s strapline is ‘Recipes and tips for feeding bottomless pits’ now I’m sure plenty of us have similar situations and you won’t be disappointed with her vast recipe book.
Belleau Kitchen is written by Dom, I love his header photo – surely his kitchen doesn’t always look that tidy? I wish mine would! and then I fell in lust with his Strawberry Champagne Jam Cake, you need to see it to believe it and trust me EVERYONE will want a piece of it.
Fabulicious Food is the brainchild of Ren Behan and is stocked with family friendly recipes. She has some superb cup cake ideas and Easter tips but most of all she holds a monthly meme called ‘Simple and in Season‘ where she invites you to link up with seasonal recipes, make sure you bookmark her so you can share your recipes with her and reach her enormous audience too.
Holly was a contestant of the Great British Bake Off and she writes Recipes From a Normal Mum which is a comforting title because you know you should be able to do them yourself. An incredibly extensive repertoire to thumb through with some brilliant ideas.
Utterly Scrummy Food for Families is written by Michelle Rice and I loved her meal planning posts where she lays out clearly what she’s going to cook for the week and even her shopping list. She tells you how much she spent and where to buy from by using My Supermarket. This week she spent £60 for 39 items.
I have mentioned Helen Graves before but I cannot let this month pass without showing you her Massive Carrot Cake it just wouldn’t be fair and you’d hold it against me.
To finish up the March round up, I want to highlight some of the lovely bloggers that joined in the link up with some brilliant ideas to share like Susan Mann who shared her Gingerbread House with us.
How about Mrs W who shares her Skinny Recipes with us? Most of us are on a diet at some point and Mrs W has a great collection to keep you inspired.
Are you forever scratching your head in search of Lunch box ideas? Well Lunch Box World is written by a mum of 3 school age kids, a great blog that keeps creating new ideas for all the family.
Mummy Alarm is a newbie on the block and she joined in with a Brownie Cake recipe last month. Caroline Mader is a blogger to watch out for.
Have a great Mother’s Day all and link up with some inspiring recipes for us all to have a go at!
