Books round-up

Welcome to June’s books round-up, which also happens to be the month when I am going to be having a baby! Bearing that in mind I am going to take a little break in July, but will be back with a round-up in August.

Given that I am about to have a baby very soon, I enjoyed Five Little Stars’ post Favourite First Books for Babies I already have some of the books, but I will be investing in some of the others too.

I’ve reviewed a couple of great books this month, She Persisted around the World by Chelsea Clinton no less, which is a great book about amazing women as the title suggests about the world. If you have a child who is in the middle of potty training, then All Aboard the the Toilet Train is a great little tool to help you and your little one.

I’m not much of a football fan (at all), but you can’t escape that it is the World Cup this month. If you have some very excited children looking forward to it, then have a read of Let Them Be Small’s post with books to help your children to get ready for the World Cup

I couldn’t let this month’s round-up pass without mentioning Newbie’s Editor Aby Moore who has released her very own book – Blogs Change Lives. She has also shared her tips on how to write a bestseller in 90 days. If you would like to read a review of the book, My Random Musings has written a review of Aby’s book who gives it a pretty glowing review.

Books to get you Excited About Your Holidays

Anyone else starting to get rather excited about the summer and the upcoming holiday season? There are some great posts to inspire you. TraveLynn Family has shared Travel stories for young kids: 10 travel inspiring stories for under 5s. Which has a lovely a selection of books to get your child excited about travelling. has reviewed Where the magic happens – how one family sailed around the world a story of how a British family of five set off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Perhaps you and your children fancy speaking a different language ready for your holiday? Captain Bobcat has a post for you then if you do with a Bilingual Book Subscription for Children which looks like such a lovely way to introduce your child to a new language.

If Museums are your thing, then have a read of The Bear and The Fox’s post 50 Great Museum Themed Books for Kids – so many great books on this list!

I hope you enjoyed the round-up. If you would like to be included in next month’s round-up I would love to hear from you, you can tweet me @laurasummers or drop me an email
