Need some blog support? Join a BMB comment group

When you start blogging one of the biggest challenges can be getting the “party started” with regards to comments. It can be difficult to get people to comment until you’ve established more of a following which can be very discouraging to newbies.

At BMB, we like to encourage the community spirit as much as possible. For those that want a little kickstart with comments on their blogs, we’re organising comments groups for April.

This is how it works:  Fill out the form below before 29 March and we’ll put you in a group of 10 bloggers. Then all you have to do is make sure you visit the blogs in your group at least once a week, and leave comments if you feel you have something to add.

It’s a bit like being placed in an NCT Group after you’ve had your first baby.  Hopefully some real “blog” friendships will blossom.

**Thank you to the 77 bloggers who have signed up for the FIRST BMB Comment Group. Registration is now closed however, there will be another oppportunity next month to register for the next comment group. Until then, happy Blogging!

Thanks for organising Karin. I joined a group like this when I first started blogging, and I made some real friends out of it (three years on and I still regularly visit one of the blogs that was in my original comment group from Twitter Moms). If you are a lone blogger starting out, this can be a great confidence boost and way to meet other bloggers.

Can bloggers that have been blogging a while but have low comments join??

  3. 22 March 2011 / 17:36

I’m not a new blogger but I’ve joined in anyway if that’s OK because I think it’s a great way to encourage new bloggers and I really wish that there had been something like this when I started my blog.
There must be loads of blogs that are started but then abandoned because the writers get disheartened that they’re not getting any comments….

I’m joining too if that’s ok. I think the idea of having one established blogger/commenter in each group of 10 might be a good idea to give everyone else a bit of a boost. Plus it’s a good opportunity to find new blogs.

I’m joining too! I really struggle to comment these days and so this will kick start me again!

    Great idea!

Nickie…That is a good idea and will see if we can make that happen! Next week I’ll be putting the groups together so hopefully we’ll have enough “established” bloggers to head up a group! 😉
    Thanks for the suggestion…

This sounds like a great idea, I’m in! x

What a great idea – thanks, Karin, for organising it. I’ve been blogging for ages, but have joined as I think it’s a really nice way to encourage and support new bloggers. (And maybe make some new friends, too).

    I’m always too slow lol.

We’re a little slow to get involved with this – but definitely want to take part next month. When will you be doing it again? As newbies, it is DEFINITELY frustrating that we’re not getting many comments x

    ooh missed it!
will you be setting up comment groups again?
