Blogger of the Week + #passiton

This week’s Blogger of the Week is a bit of an extension from last week’s glorious Christine Mosler of Thinly Spread. As we all know, Christine is, as I type, in Mozambique doing very important work for Save the Children and the #passiton campaign. We’ve also had some very important bloggers on the ground here in the UK who are so admirably working for and supporting the #passiton campaign.

One such blogger is this week’s BritMums Blogger of the Week: Maggy Woodley of Red Ted Art! Over the last year or so, Maggy’s brilliantly crafty and creative blog has grown by leaps and bounds. Inspiring all of us to get “down and dirty” with our children is but one of her accomplishments. Maggy is a wonderful voice in the BritMums blogging community and has leant her support to the #passiton campaign as well.

Starting off a few weeks ago with the Save the Children No Child is Born to Die meme, Maggy encouraged all of us to have our children draw self-portraits to imagine what they could be in the future. In total, 97 bloggers linked up their posts and support on Maggy’s meme challenge which is a brilliant accomplishment! Spreading the word like wildfire, Maggy has been an important voice for Save the Children.

Maggy is working with Save the Children, Christine and various lovely sponsors to host a Charity Twitter Tea Party tonight on Twitter from 8:00pm. Here’s what the Twitter Tea Party is all about:

“We are going to host a Virtual Tea Party and we are going to invite Chris to tea.

Whilst Chris is in Mozambique, she will log into twitter and join us on a chat about Tea Parties..

We are inviting everyone to attend and bring along their top tea party tips/recipes/solutions to disasters if children are involved, favourite party games, dealing with difficult guests, solutions to the party bag problem, baking tips etc I am sure you all have tons of info to share.”

There will be prizes and another opportunity to #passiton and make a difference. Mummy Bloggers are a force to be reckoned with! Please take some time from 8:00pm to join in on Maggy’s Charity Twitter Tea Party by using the hashtag #passiton and sharing your top tips for tea parties! Let’s see if we can get the #passiton hashtag trending in the UK if not the world! Grab a cuppa (or a glass of wine) and Tweet on fair bloggers! Your voices (and tweets) are needed!
