It is finally time.

Time to put your feet up, indulge on a mince pie or two, crack open a bottle of bubbly and sneak a cheeky mitt into the bursting chocolate box. Christmas is here, well almost. There are still those last minute chores to deal with, picking up the turkey, making sure you have enough cream and brandy sauce. Cleaning and vacuuming and checking you have enough pillows for everyone!

There will be 10 of us here in my house on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day night. I have food, gifts, alcohol, games and all manner of extras to make sure our day is a good one. Table trivia is a new edition for me this year, I’m not sure if anyone will use it, or if it’s any good but I thought it worth a try. Have you got something interesting you’ve added to your Christmas this year?

With Christmas Day over it’s on to Boxing Day and a repeat of indulgence but thankfully not at my house. Then the weekend to think about too and to think I started this post by putting my feet up!

I have two beauties to share with you this week; a recipe that’s a century old for Mulled Wine from the Dolomites (where I used to live) and a great idea of what to do with any leftover Christmas Pudding – mini Christmas pudding trifles!

This will be the last #MBPW for 2014 but it will stay open for two weeks in case you have more to share. I will be back on January 10th with the first of 2015, have a wonderful Christmas everyone and I wish you all a fabulous new year too, may 2015 be the year all your dreams come true.
