Yay, I’m a grandma – again! Allow me to welcome into the world little Sophie Rose who was born on Sunday 13th just in time for roast dinner, sadly I haven’t seen her or cuddled her yet as she lives in Italy so I am scouring the net for flights that will fit in with school runs, after school activities and the mister’s dwindling holiday left this year.

I know many of our BritMums members are expats living abroad or have left their home country to live in the UK so you will know the frustration I feel at not being there to join in the fun, help out with the family and just be on hand for anything from a cup of tea to a shoulder to cry on when your hormones start going loopy. It’s tough.

Another biggie for me this week was changing server for my blog. If like me you are not a geek the thought of any changes that need doing to your blog will send Antarctic shivers up your spine and you’d rather not do anything, however I exceeded my bandwidth and was charged an extortionate £167 for my sins which didn’t go down to well with husband *ahem*. Of course I argued it but they wanted another £189 to upgrade my account even if I had only just settled a bill of over £100 for the entire year till August 2014, am I confusing you? Yes well imagine how I felt.

So a chat with some epic geeks who do know their domains from their servers put me on the right track and I migrated my blog.

Yes you may think I am extremely clever but the honest truth is I handed over my login details and password to the migration team and they did the lot.

There were hiccups, there always are but I am now sitting on a shiny new server with all my posts and images and a ginormous amount of bandwidth available and then my internet crashed….one of those weeks I guess?
