Welcome back to normality!

Festivities are out of the way, kids are back to school, workers are back to work and life has resumed it’s normal tick tock that we love and crave BUT how come this week has been so exhausting then?

Not just for me, I noticed my children were more-than-usual tired of an evening after school, husband returning from work shattered and my Facebook timeline is full of tiredness … could it be December’s mayhem is catching up on us?

I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to a nice quiet weekend, with no plans, no schedule and a relaxed, let’s see what happens attitude.

Anyone doing the Dryathlon for January? My brother is and he’s collecting for cancer, husband has decided to go teetotal too this month and I have joined him so fa.r I’d love to promise you I could do all of January but one glass of wine on a Saturday night may slip the net 😉

Only two weeks to go before I cycle from my home town Gravesend over to Southend with the Team Honk relay baton, I still haven’t done any training and I still haven’t got my bike out of the shed so guess what’s on my To Do list this weekend? Bang goes my relaxation then! Keep an eye out for news on Twitter and Facebook as they’re kicking off this weekend from Land’s End, hundreds of bloggers are taking part, see who’s doing it near you.

Anyone else thinking of sunny climates? My Best Post of The Week is a re-blog of our holiday to the Costa Verde in Sardegna in 2011. I’ve tidied up the post and added some better photos and I’m really pleased with it, I’m going to have a dig in my archives for other material that might need freshening up a bit and may have been missed in the early days.
