Here are some BritMums Twitter party Terms and Conditions you should know about:

  • This #BessieXmasTips Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. The Prize Draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man), excluding employees and their families of the Promoter and Aunt Bessie’s Limited, or their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies and agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion. Participants must be 18 years or over.
  • All tweets with a tip or comment about Christmas dinner or decorations using the hashtag #BessieXmasTips during the Promotional Period (see below) (each an “Entry Tweet”) will automatically be entered into the Prize Draw. Submission of an Entry Tweet will be taken to mean acceptance of the above rules and these Terms and Conditions.
  • A Twitter account is required for entry. You can open a FREE Twitter account here: www.twitter.com
  • However, this Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter. By entering, entrants acknowledge that Twitter bears no responsibility for this Prize Draw and entrants fully and completely release Twitter from any liability whatsoever arising out of the Prize Draw.
  • Entrants must ensure that the Twitter account they have used to enter is active and valid, and that they are contactable on the same.
  • Entry Tweets must remain active and visible on Twitter until at least the Closing Time (defined below).
  • The Promoter, and Aunt Bessie’s Limited shall not be liable for any damage, loss, liability, or injury (save for personal injury or death caused by the Promoter or Aunt Bessie’s Limited’s negligence) caused by matters relating to this Prize Draw.
  • This Prize Draw, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this Prize Draw.
  • Entries will be accepted from 13.00 on 10 December 2013 (“Opening Time”) until 14.00 on 10 December 2013 GMT (“Closing Time”), and the period between the Opening Time and the Closing Time shall be the Promotional Period.
  • 11 winners will be chosen at random using Random.org from all entrants who tweet an Entry Tweet during the Promotional Period.
  • The prizes will be awarded at random amongst the winners, and may not be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
  • Winners will be notified via direct message to the Twitter account they used to post their Entry Tweet. They have 48 hours to respond and claim their prize after being notified, after which time the prize will be considered unclaimed and will be re-assigned using a random selection method. The names of the winners will be published here.
  • Prizes are administered by a third party, separate to BritMums. BritMums, its partners and agents cannot be held responsible for problems related to fulfillment of prizes including non-delivery or substitution due to original prize being unavailable.
  • Prizes will be delivered to the winners at the address they provided within 28 days of notification that they have won.
  • The Promoters accept no responsibility for technical difficulties which may result in Tweets not appearing in the Twitter stream as viewed via Twitter.com and therefore not eligible.
  • The Promoter is BritMums Ltd with its registered office at Chiltern House, 45 Station Road, Henley, RG9 1AT
  • Entry Tweets may be used in promotional materials for BritMums and Aunt Bessie’s, published on the BritMums and Aunt Bessie’s networks, used on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and other social media platforms and/or published in the BritMums and Aunt Bessie’s sites. Participation in this Prize Draw will be taken as agreement for use of material in this way.
  • Events may occur that render the giveaway itself or the awarding of a prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and/or the prizes and entrants agree that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
