It is all about the holiday preparation now. The countdown has begun. I have calculated that I need to do a work-out pretty much every day for the next three months to have any hope of squeezing into last years tankini. I also have a planner from an arguably obsessive friend which sets out which days I should body-brush and moisturise, and how regularly, before I start building up the fake tan. And I plan to buy Liz at The Mum Blog’s travel size perfume discovery, the Victornox Swiss Army Victoria perfume. It not only smells nice, it comes in a beautiful travel size perfect for holidays.
No prizes for guessing whether I will succeed in transforming myself into a bronzed amazon…. But when I do, (I am being optimistic), I will need this gorgeous Revlon Super Lustrous Limited Edition lipstick in Pink Giggles. Thanks to Bex at Futures for sharing her find.
Sarah, over at Yummy Mummy in Training, has been trying out Smooch cosmetics. The Sweet Tooth lipstick looked scary in its container (too bright for me), but actually the swatch looks lovely, so maybe I will give it a try.
Mrs Jones has tried out a couple of springtime lippies at Keeping up with the Jones. I absolutely love the YSL Peach Passion, purely because of the packaging. I am a marketing man’s (or woman’s) dream!
Kerry is definitely in the ‘love it’ camp when it comes to Rimmel’s Apocolips in Nova. it looks fab on her, but I am not entirely sure I am brave enough!
And finally, once I have found a lippie out of this lot to go with my new bronzed loveliness, I will jump back into my bookmarks for this fabulous post at CountyWives. Daniel Sandler has pulled together a special look step by step, product by product, for the girls. If you are a fan of the Daniel Sandler range this is a post for you!
So have you got a favourite lipstick, or are you looking forward to trying out some new shades for the summer?
About Louise Yummymummy
Louise started writing her blog Yummy Mummy? Really? after becoming a mum and discovering that it was harder than ever to keep looking yummy. Louise is a self-confessed late starter when it comes to beauty treatments and only started wearing make-up 5 years ago after the birth of her first daughter. She blogs both about her attempts to stay looking yummy; with posts on everything from electrolysis to home work-outs; and what she’s learnt as a mummy; from how to change a nappy, what kit you need to feed on the go, and how to avoid toddler tantrums!
