Beauty Round-up: August and it’s raining?

beauty roundup blog postsUs brits are so completely pre-occupied with the weather for the following reason: We get a heat wave for a month, yet the second we elect to head for the coast to enjoy the weather by the seaside it absolutely pelts down with rain. It’s completely illogical, and you can NEVER rely on the weather.

We are equally obsessed about weather-protection, be it moisturising lip salves to protect from wind and snow in the winter, or lashings of factor 50 sun protection the second the sun makes an appearance.

In short, our beauty regime needs to be adaptable and all-encompassing.

So what beauty essentials are British bloggers raving about this month?  Grab a cuppa and settle in for this month’s collection of beauty favourites, whatever the weather.

Karina from The Beauty & Lifestyle Hunter is guesting over at Sparkles and Stretchmarks and shares her top 5 beauty balms.

Rachel at Beauty Alchemy shares her favourite Biotherm products which are great for hydration.

At Sophia’s Choice you know the reviews will be of organic, ethical and eco-friendly.  This month she reviews the Aurelia Probiotic  skin care range.

Hannah, at Make Do and Push, has reviewed the Green People Skin Care Range.

If you are packing for your holiday, Amanda at The Ana Mum Diary has the perfect collection of holiday essentials.  She packs Childs Farm : Top to Toe Cleaning Kit for the children, but don’t worry she has plenty of recommendations for mums too.

Liz, at Me and My Shadow provides 5 top tips for summer ready feet.  All you need to feel confident in those summer sandals.

Charlotte shares her favourite beauty products from July at her blog Write Like There’s No-0ne Watching.  There’s plenty to go at here, so get your notebooks (or tablets) ready to prepare your shopping list.

That’s it for this month.  With all that moisturiser, we should be prepared whatever the weather!

Take care until next time.

About Louise Yummymummy

Louise started writing her blog Yummy Mummy? Really? after becoming a mum and discovering that it was harder than ever to keep looking yummy. Louise is a self-confessed late starter when it comes to beauty treatments and only started wearing make-up 5 years ago after the birth of her first daughter. She blogs both about her attempts to stay looking yummy; with posts on everything from electrolysis to home work-outs; and what she’s learnt as a mummy; from how to change a nappy, what kit you need to feed on the go, and how to avoid toddler tantrums!
