Positively Inspirational Round-up: Sunsets, blogging & being Beautiful

inspiration round upThe sun is shining and that makes me happier than I can tell you.  Nothing better than to write a round-up of some superb inspiring and positive, feel-good posts when the sun is kissing your skin and giving you a dose of the mood enhancing chemicals called ‘tryptamines’.  Not to mention how much healthier (and slimmer!) you can look with a light golden tan. So here is the August Positively Inspirational round-up.  Enjoy!

Being Creative…

Starting us off today we have Dara at Mum of all Trades, I would describe Dara as an all-round good egg, I have always found her to be a super nice blogger and she has exceptional taste, you should see some of her decoration and crafting posts.  The post that caught my eye is one aimed at the kids for the long summer holiday; there are some fun garden activities to be made from next to nothing!

Images of an English Summer…

The next post I stumbled across really had me smiling, Glenda at Dining In posted in response to my Reasons to be Cheerful linky and she translated the letter ‘I’ prompt to ‘images’ and in this post Glenda takes us with her on her road trip around England that she has recently taken.  It reminds me how lucky we are to live here and to be able to enjoy the diversity of our country and the rich history that we have.

A sunset reflection…

Sara at Walking with Angels confesses that she finds comfort in the setting of the sun, that predictability and familiarity of the rise and fall each day and then she takes it further and remembers that her trust, like mine is in something much more…

Blogging saved my life…

Next up is a really super post, far too good to leave out of this round-up. Hollie Smith’s guest post on Dorky Mum’s blog about PND and how blogging can help, evokes real memories for me as someone who also blogged about their PND journey. I swear by the therapy of blogging and for me that power cannot be underestimated.

We are beautiful…

The last three posts I want to point you to all focus around the same thing – loving and accepting ourselves for who we are and how we look.  Not an easy task at times I find. Emma at LLB calling has been on a mission trip to Zambia recently and as expected this is really affecting her outlook on life, I enjoyed this post about accepting yourself and not comparing, something Emma says she has learnt whilst in Zambia.

Becky at Baby Budgeting shares with us some powerful writing in the next post titled ‘I am me’.  It reminds us that each one of us is unique and just the way we should be.  Others will only ever be a poor imitation of us and I love this as it applies in all things, especially blogging.

These last two posts made me think of an oldie of mine, which was so well received when I published it and people still find it regularly through the search engines. I leave you with I am Beautiful, oh how I needed to re-find that post and read it all over again. How forgetful we are of the commitments we make to ourselves.

Enjoy this month’s picks and if you have something you would like me to look at for next month, then tweet me a link.  I do go and read everything that people point me to but sadly I can only feature a few posts. But never fear, you can link up yourself; add your post to the linky.

Have a blessed summer.  Mich x

About Michelle Pannell

Mummy from the Heart is the fourth baby of Michelle, a 46 year old (manic) mother living in East Sussex. Having moved to the countryside and ‘retired’, Michelle can now be found eating too much cake and taking long walks. She lives life on the bright side and looks for the joy in every situation, even the excess pounds those cakes keep adding! Michelle’s blog is a very honest place where she shares tales of imperfect parenting, being a Christian digital activist and anything else that takes her fancy.

As always a great selection and inspiration for this weeks "must reads" in the blog sphere! We are REALLY (like in really really) late followers to the whole blog thing. Started reading blogs and launched our own blog only 3 month ago! And what a journey it has been. So many talented writers and photographers out there, such great inspiration.

Anyway: just wanted to say: EXCELLENT site to introduce new exciting blogs to our reading list.
