We know mums make a difference to their children, families, friends, colleagues and good causes. We want to celebrate that with a BritMums #ONEMums and #LetsThrive Twitter party on 10th April 2012.
Be around on Twitter next Tuesday between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to shout out the small things mums do that make a big difference.
There are lots of ways that mums make a difference — from cuddles at home to campaigning, to support at work and acting as role models. All ideas very welcome.
Why that question?
BritMums are helping ONE to raise awareness of their work. ONE is a global advocacy and campaigning organisation backed by more than 2.6 million people from around the world dedicated to fighting extreme poverty and preventable diseases particularly in Africa.
ONE shows how the small percentage of Government income that is invested in aid really DOES make a positive difference in terms of helping MILLIONS of people overseas.
If you think that all the news from Africa is sad, attend the Twitter party and find out that there are some very good news stories too. We will also let you know a bit more about the lives of mums in Africa and how they are changing.
