Having a baby is an exciting time in your life. But it also opens the door to having no time to do anything else except look after your child.
So it’s no wonder lots of mums find it difficult to stay fashionable when they have so much else on their plate. But dressing well makes you feel good about yourself, and there are times when you really need that when you are first getting to grips with motherhood.
The good news is that you don’t have to keep things this way; there are lots of quick and easy ways to use to make sure you stay looking good even when baby is taking up lots of your time.
1: pony tails make low maintenance stylish hairdos
Sometimes you won’t have time to do your hair properly. When this is the case, ensure you keep it washed and conditioned regularly and throw it back into a stylish ponytail whenever the mood takes you. It can still look superb.
2: keep the stylish maternity items to wear again
You won’t be wearing them forever, but your body will take a while to go back to how it was before you became pregnant. If you have some stylish maternity items you love, hang onto them and get some more use out of them while feeling comfortable at the same time.
3: keep those sunglasses handy!
Sunglasses are one of the fastest ways to look fashionable. You can wear them with any outfit to look great. This holds true regardless of whether you wear sunglasses to correct your vision or just to ward off the sun’s rays.
4: rely on some nice shoes
They should be comfy for sure, but there is no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy wearing some stylish and fashionable shoes with any outfit of your choice. It might be tempting to wear sneakers all the time but you’ll feel a whole lot better if you stick with shoes.
5: go for wraps
A wrap looks superb with all kinds of clothing. You can wrap it around you to keep warm and it forgives any body shape. The great thing is that even when you lose your baby weight you’ll still be able to wear a wrap. This has to be one of the most versatile and attractive items you could choose.
You don’t have to struggle to look fashionable at all times, but allowing yourself a little time every now and then to look your best will really help boost your confidence and remind that even with a baby you are still your own independent person!
Fashion needn’t be difficult, in fact it shouldn’t be. This guest post was written by Ricky from Zando, the online fashion store.
