Some people go on a quest for a historic chalice, some search for a city of gold. At BritMums we have our priorities straight – we enjoy a cookie quest! We especially like a cookie quest when it’s for one of our favourite versions: Oreo.
For a sponsored project with Oreo, we asked a group of BritMums bloggers to go an #OreoCookieQuest and show how they create wonder-filled family moments and days out, with a favourite family treat.
Buy Oreos & win stuff!
The posts were to celebrate the launch of Oreo’s nationwide launch of its “Great Oreo Cookie Quest”, an on-pack promotion. Each packet has a promotional code that, when you scan it, may entitle you to anything from a pair of earphones to, for one Grand Prize Winner, a trip for four to San Francisco (we bet it isn’t snowing there). Plus there is a separate app available from Google Play that allows players that uses virtual cookies and hidden clues to win prizes – everything from Google Play vouchers to a new Samsung Galaxy J7 phone.
Take part Bloggers’ own Cookie Quests and Giveaways
These BritMums bloggers created their own Great Oreo Cookie Quest on a day out and are doing their own giveaways as well. Click through to their posts, look for the Oreos “hidden” in their posts and enter to win a £100 Virgin Experience voucher on each blog! That’s 10 days out up for grabs!
How to win at the #OreoCookieQuest Competition on the blogs
The #OreoCookieQuest is a fun way to win yourself a great day out at a huge variety of attractions. The idea is that the bloggers have hidden 10 Oreos in their blogs: this could be in the corner of one of their photos or the word could be hidden in the text. Anyone who can spot all ten Oreos, can then email the blogger listing where the Oreos appeared and, if they are correct, they will be automatically entered in a draw for a family day out with Virgin Experiences.
Win Prizes: Visit these blogs and start cookie-spotting right away and pick up a pack of Oreos marked with the Oreo Cookie Quest!
Some of these Oreos are easier to spot than others. We love the witty images by Eileen from ET Speaks from Home. We laughed out loud at the picture of her husband in Majorca’s Port de Sóller (we’ll tease you by not showing it here) and would challenge anyone not to spot the Oreo in her picture at the market!
Claire of Claire Justine has, among finding other Oreo hiding places, devised a word search. Get your pencils out.
Jacintaz of Jacintaz Three and family set out for Hever Castle and had some sneaky ideas of where to “hide” the Oreos. We felt enormously proud to have spotted a really difficult one — see how you fare!
Kate from Veggie Desserts went with the family to the SS Great Britain – see if you can spot the Oreos on this nautical outing: veggiedesserts.co.uk/ss-great-britain-review
