Arts & Culture Round-up: Theatre, galleries & English Heritage

Finally I was able to go out to walk the puppy in just a bodywarmer today, a far cry from the Beast from the East just a few weeks ago! With the warmer weather, hopefully we can all start getting out and about and exploring all those fabulous castles and old buildings, but not forgetting the theatres and museums. Even in the cold, miserable weather, you have all been up to lots of exciting things.

Theatre For Adults.

That British Betty had a great night at a Rock n Roll evening with Teddy. With Love From Lou had a lovely evening at the ballet watching Romeo and Juliet.
We have been to quite a few performances lately, Legally Blonde was amazing, Fat Friends The Musical was hilarious, The Kite Runner was very moving, but my favourite by far (we went to see it twice, it was that good) was The Band featuring the winners of the Gary Barlow Let It Shine show, if it is anywhere near you, I urge you to get tickets, it was out of this world!

Theatre For Children.

If you are looking for somewhere to take the children, check out My Boys Club lowdown on Childrens Theatre. Yorkshire Wonders went to see Awful Auntie at The Grand Opera House, York. Buzymum declared Cirque Du Soleil The Best Theatre for The Whole Family Cardiff Mummy Says took the children to see What The Ladybird Heard, this was one of my children’s favourite books when they were small, and so did Kelly Allen Writer.  Cardiff Mummy Says and Kelly Allen Writer also saw Tiddler and other Terrific Tales . Guess who else went to see The Sound of Music, thats right, Kelly Allen Writer, which is one of my all time favourites, not just because they have a great number of children! It’s obviously quite popular at the moment as My Tunbridge Wells went to see it too. The Strawberry Fountain have had great fun at The Wizard of Oz and Snow White

Museums and Galleries

Mummy and The Chunks had a great time at Coventry Transport Museum, whilst The Gingerbread House were hunting egyptians at the Petrie Museum and Votes for Women at the Museum of London , Little Snippets enjoyed their time at the Please DO Touch Trail at the Southampton City Art Gallery, Cardiff Mummys says and family got crafty at St Fagans National Museum of History. Mummy Wishes had a great time at The Postal Museum. Little Pickle and his Mom went along to see Hush-a-bye. All About A Mummy met Hope at The Natural History Museum, Mum of 2.5 took the family to The British Motor Museum. Momma Mack explored Coventry Transport Museum too.

National Trust & English Heritage

Gee Gardiner tells us all about their trip to the National Trust Packwood House. Our Bucket List Lives had a great day out at Bolsover Castle

It amazes me every month how we have a huge amount in one particular area, obviously museums are very popular at present!
