Talking of Valentine’s Day, have any of you seen the next Chocolate Workshop that seems to be springing up throughout the UK?
They make chocolate to look like real, everyday items and I picked up VIP a ‘box of tools’ for Valentine’s Day. They were doing a special offer of 40% off and I ended up paying £15 for the box.
You might say it’s a tad expensive for a box of chocolates, but the workmanship that has gone into producing these life-like tools is incredible – and certainly had VIP stumped for a few seconds!
A spring in your step
Now that spring is on the horizon, a few of you have been making the most of new lines of clothes and accessories.
Katy from Katykicker.com picked up a George Clothing haul to see what she could buy for her 22-month old daughter.
Katy managed to pick up a great selection of clothes including a two-pack of jogging bottoms for £8, a jumper with matching tights for £8, a rabbit print dress for £5 (soooo cute!) and a two-pack of hoodies for £8.
Some of the clothes had little teddies in the pockets, which is so cute – and a great idea for young kids.
Allison from Bits Of Sunshine went on a skincare and makeup haul recently, which is a great idea for most of us given that the changing seasons can play havoc with your skin.
Among the items she picked up were charcoal nose strips (I’ve always wondered about these!), along with a gel moisturisers, foundations and other facial products.
Grab a bargain
They included a selection of jewellery from Debenhams, Next and Not On The High Street, a VIP cushion cover for £5 from Not On The High Street – perhaps I should get it for my VIP, although I’m not sure he’d be overly impressed with the polka dot design, and some accessories including gloves from NEXT.
Moving on to Claire’s interiors haul, she bagged a photo frame for £5 in Debenhams and a peg board from NEXT for £4.
Like myself, Claire is vertically challenged (I know as I met her at BritMums17!) so I liked what she’d spelt out on the peg board – ‘Though She Be But Little She Is Fierce’.
Finally, I couldn’t end the February Shopping Haul post without mentioning the month of love one final time!
Blogger Carol from Family Makes went on a Valentine’s shopping haul to one of my fave shops – Home Bargains!
Carol had a super video haul which included…
- Heart-shaped bowl for £1.29 which also came in a variety of colours
- A couple of Mason jars for 59p each (for string lights to add to a romantic meal atmosphere perhaps?)
- Three super cute bottles with heart tags (which can be filled with Valentine goodies)
- A bunch of faux flowers for just over a pound
- Heart-shaped biscuit lollies for 69p
- Chocolate lollies for the kids for 49p
- Love hearts in tubes!
- And my favourite – a selection of old-fashioned sweets!
Looks like Carol’s family were thoroughly spoilt, but Carol’s haul only came to around £20! She’s a girl after my own heart with thrifty shopping galore!
