As part of the judging panel for the first two stages this year it was very clear from the first click that the bar has been raised yet again.
Choosing the BritMums quota was not an easy task I can assure you. Stage 2 consists of 10 nominations, the five with the most nominations went through and BritMums chose the other five. Now it is down to you to nominate your favourite to go through to the finalists stage. A total of five will make the list; the 2 with the most votes and 3 chosen from the BritMums team. You have until midnight 15th May. VOTE HERE.
Emily is a regular to blogging awards and it’s very easy to see why. She also holds a weekly food Linky called Recipe of the Week and this week she focuses on Salads which is very handy as we make our way (hopefully) to warmer weather.
The latest recipe up is one of my all time favourites and one I made myself whilst on the Costa Brava. Gazpacho. A cold tomato soup that is oh so much more than tomato soup. Take a look at the sidebar and find recipes to cook in 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. Nice idea.
Grace focuses on healthy, children’s food and on the bento style lunches she packs daily for her son. Her latest recipe is for Frozen pineapple ice pops I know my twins would love these.
Helen is a mum and she is also Jewish. Her blog is a combination of those two elements and focuses on kosher food. She does it very well and it is an excellent resource for anyone who also eats kosher. Her latest recipe is Easy sideways potato gratin and looks delicious.
As her blog suggests her name is Mel, she is mum to three and passionate about food amongst other topics she covers on her blog. Mel sometimes hosts Honest Mum’s foodie link up Tasty Tuesdays and on the last one she presented her No bake cranberry and white chocolate bars which I could eat in a flash.
Life truly is Delicious in Chris‘s home as she presents her vegetarian recipes beautifully and each one with something a little bit different that you wouldn’t have thought of, like her Thyme for lemon cake, what a fantastic idea.
Of course I am in love with Alida‘s blog as she takes me back to Italy every time I land on it. Take her most recent Blueberry Ricotta Cheesecake which is also gluten free. There’s plenty more so do take a look.
Sarah is a twin mum and you can find plenty of twin tips on her blog but also lots of food recipes. Her latest recipe is a Skinny Chicken Tikka Masala which is very handy as I am currently on a diet and in love with curry too.
Helen is also a regular to the Food award ceremonies. She constantly comes up with innovative and excellent ideas, did you see what she did with chocolate cream eggs? Her latest recipe was to mark V Day and is a recipe for Woolton Pie but with a modern twist
“Hi! I’m Alessandra, and I’m the teenage food blogger, recipe developer, food photographer, and writer behind this blog! I’m sixteen and have a passion for creating delicious, nutritious food using fresh, natural ingredients without the grains, gluten, dairy, eggs, or soy.”
I was hooked by the name of the blog and then when I landed I couldn’t believe my eyes. Alessandra’s latest recipe is Raspberry, pistacchio and coconut ice cream. It will blow your mind.
So there you have your amazingly inspiring shortlisted bloggers for 2015, take a look and choose carefully as the final five will be judged by a category judge and not the BritMums team.
The winners will be announced on Friday 19th June at BritMums Live.
