Why we love #SensitiveDads #ad

We’ll be honest. We like our men tough but tender. We really get to see that side of them as dads, as they are considerate, tactful, sweet and lovely. That includes their skin — an area where they need a little pampering no matter how strong they are in the rest of our lives.

The new Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3080s Wet and Dry Electric Shaver is a real hero for sensitive skin, and is the perfect Father’s Day gift for sensitive (skin) dads. We partnered with Braun and several mums in a paid campaign to tell the stories of their sensitive men (and sensitive men’s skin).

We love how Mum in the Madhouse describes her man as “an armadillo, hard on the outside and soft on the inside“. We believe it, especially when her husband is confident enough to do his household chores with this cute accessory. (See how her man’s thoughts in the link above on another accessory that demonstrates his sensitive side, the Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3080s Wet and Dry Electric Shaver which allows for a close soothing shave.)

A good beard suits a sensitive dad as much as a clean shave

Charly at Podcast remembers the tender moments when their daughter was born…and other moments that pull at the heartstrings of her “ex-rugby type”. The dad in their family rocks a great beard, trimmed by the “MicroComb technology which guides beard hairs into the cutting element of the trimmer,” she says, and we have to agree.

We confess, we love a well-groomed beard on a sensitive guy, obviously agreeing with Side Street Style:

“Even though John has a beard he still shaves daily as there is a little bit more that goes into growing a beard that just letting it do it’s own thing, like any hair style you have maintain it and shape it. John also suffers from sensitive dry skin so it’s really important to not use anything that is going to irritate it and inflame it if your in the same situation. On first impression it gives a really close shave, smooth on the skin and easy to clean.”

What makes tough dads tender

We’ve discovered the Achilles heel of many of “strong” dad: sappy TV shows and movies.

Podcast mentions it, and the dad in Someone’s Mum family is a total partner, doing the bathing and helping looking after their child with special needs, but we love the cherry on top: his Disney medley routine.

We love how Sparkles and Stretches points out “real men are comfortable enough to show their emotions and I think that’s a thing to be celebrated!” Hear hear!

#SensitiveDads lets us be rocking mums!

We love how Sam from North East Family Fun describes how having a sensitive man by your side allows us to be a bit stronger and tougher ourselves. It’s good for all of us!

“It’s a running joke in our family that I apparently have a heart of stone…Steve, on the other hand is the complete opposite to me and I’ll often catch him with a little tear in his eye. Steve is a hard-working Geordie man who loves nothing more than drinking a pint in the pub but I love that he also has a sensitive side to his personality.”

Ultimately, you have to take the advice of Franca: “This is definitely a quality in a man and if you are lucky enough to spot it in the man you are dating, my advice is: MARRY HIM straight away…!”

And get him a Braun Series 3 ProSkin 3080s Wet and Dry Electric Shaver so your #SensitiveDad can take care of his sensitive skin. Read more and pamper your man now with the right shaver for him!
