Sleepovers are one of the pleasures of childhood, even if as parents we might call them ‘stay-awake’ overs! We all remember getting into our pyjamas or fuzzy onesies with friends, practicing secret handshakes and sharing silly stories that made our friends snort with laughter. Late at night (after 8:30 p.m. – oooh!), we’d sneak into the kitchen for our magical ‘midnight feast’.
Now that we’ve got children of our own, we get to pass on the sleepover tradition, midnight feasts and all…
At our #TheMidnightGang Twitter chat on 17 November at 1pm, we’re talking about children’s sleepovers and your tips for organising them, best sleepover activities, “midnight” feast ideas, and how to get them to actually sleep.
This Twitter chat is sponsored by HarperCollins Children’s Books, publisher of David Walliams’ new novel, The Midnight Gang. A big-hearted adventure and David’s most ambitious book yet, The Midnight Gang is about children at the Lord Funt Hospital who work together to make their dreams come true. The Midnight Gang is out now in beautifully illustrated hardback, and makes a lovely Christmas gift for young readers.
Join #TheMidnightGang on Thursday 17th November from 1pm and share your tips, experiences, missteps and questions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
