Here we are then, my first education round up and what an education it’s been for me! There are so many wonderful posts out there, how on earth I am supposed to choose only a handful? So if I haven’t included you , I’m sorry there just wasn’t enough space for them all. But please do tweet me links as you post them and I’ll try and get them into the next one!
And as our summer approaches (no laughing at the back please!) everyone is looking at pretty summer uniform dresses – but do we really need the extra expense? My Mumdom is asking, what do you think? With summer in mind, are you doing the rounds of school fete’s – Mummy of two thinks they’re a bit different these days.
Not everyone finds education easy and we should applaude the effort that children with additional needs make everyday, just to keep up with their peers, Jenny from Cheetahs in my Shoes has a daughter who has made huge strides in her achievements this year, so despite the lack of appreciation from her teacher, lets give her a round of applause from here!
There has been a lot of talk in the last couple of weeks about summer born babies and whether they suffer at school by being so much younger than their class mates. Mummy Endeavours has summer twins and is naturally concerned about them settling into school and how best to resolve it. At Jennifers Little World I think mummy might be more nervous than the children! But haven’t we all been there, turning our precious babies over to the hands of the school system. Unless of course you’ve made the decision to home school, Rosie over at UnschoolMe has made just that decision, which may not be for everyone, but credit to her and good luck! I look forward to reading about the journey.
And as I type the last of this round up the news in the background is telling me of yet more exam reforms and changes for us poor parents to get our heads round, so a cheeky (maybe slightly political post sorry) post from Sonia at Rock and Roll Mum.
