Beauty is not just about the outside, it comes from within. That is, at least, what I am led to believe. The more water you drink, the healthier food you eat, the more exercise you get, the better your skin will look, the brighter your eyes will be and the better you’ll sleep. In short, the younger and more wrinkle-free you will look.
It is with this in mind that I started using a calorie counter and fitness app on my phone. Don’t judge unduly quickly. I have never counted calories in my life before two weeks ago. So it’s been a fast and enlightening journey that I’ll be blogging about on my blog over the next few weeks.
What I have noticed is that I am taking more notice of what goes in my body, and what exercise I do. I am hoping that the fabulous beauty products being blogged about this month will therefore look all the better on my more youthful, radiant skin. (Er hem.. Cough splutter.)
First up it’s Lilinha Angels World who is getting that celebrity smile thanks to a great teeth whitener, Beverly Hills Formula.
Since you need bright summer colours to go with the pearly whites, how about the products in the Maybelline Pop Box in Orange Twist?. Rebecca’s review has me coveting this little collection.
So now I have teeth, lips, and nails sorted; how about a good beauty balm? Honey’s Mummy has tried the Dr Jart+ range. . With varying degrees of SPF all wrapped up in a moisturiser/foundation/concealer, this BB is a jack of all trades that saves precious time to enjoy being out in the sun.
If you prefer L’Oreal, Hels at Beautiful Things has reviewed the L’Oreal Nude Magique BB cream and is well and truly jumping on the BB bandwagon as a result.
If you need a bit of added help (I get quite blotchy skin, so count me in) the Clinique Colour Correcting Moisturiser sounds just the ticket and is reviewed at It’s Misty, Seriously. The moisturiser has added SPF, so all sorted for the summer rays.
OK, so I may seem set to go after all that lot, but after reading Kayleigh’s Beauty Faves at Beauty, Life and Babies I may just have to go shopping again. What a great collection of goodies to try out.
Though I’m not sure I’ll be buying the Seventeen Lip Crayon reviewed by Honest Mum. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look of these, but very much suspect that so would my 4 year old, and the walls would bear the brunt!
And if you are too bewildered by all the beauty choice, what do you do? Over at Helloitsgemma, Gemma has an easy solution; Sali Hughes.
That’s it from me for this month. Please keep on sending me your links and I will try and include your beauty reviews in future round-ups.
