Craft Round-up: Let’s go outside!

The sun is finally out and I think it’s safe to say that Spring has sprung (or is springing).

It’s time to venture back outside and now there’s a few more hours daylight at the end of the day, there’s no excuse for getting outdoors and being inspired by nature to craft.

Queen of the Google Hang-Out Red Ted Art has done a fabulous stick craft post, with lots of ideas for things to make with sticks you collect on your walks.  I love Google + Hang-outs too, it’s a great way of seeing and hearing your favourite bloggers.  Of course, Maggy has lots of nature crafts featured in her new book.  Did I mention she has a NEW BOOK coming out?!

Emma at Mummy Mummy Mum has been collecting stones and has made these rather cool stone dominoes.

I’ve been busy making candles with Silver Birch bark, and Darren from One Dad 3 Girls has made his lucky lady a bark picture frame for Mother’s Day.

Take a look at this incredible birdfeeder – nay buffet, by Free Our Kids.  If I was a feathered friend, I’d be calling up to book a seat there for sure.
I also wanted to show you this super cute idea from Family Days – Tried and Tested‘s facebook page.  There’s a whole host of beautiful photos as their teddy bear comes out from his winter hibernation.  I must remember to put one to bed next winter so we can join in.
Finally, I wanted to share this with you because I think it’s the most amazing idea.  Anthea from Zing Zing Tree has made these very clever bird masks from egg cartons, perfect for playing outdoors with.

So next time your kid comes home with a pocket full of rocks, or a bag full of sticks, you’ll know what to do with them!

Enjoy the sunshine and I’ll catch you next time.

Love the bird feeder. Wouldn’t last 2 seconds in my garden. The wildlife would devour it!

Love the bird masks! Will definitely be giving all these all a go if Primrose has her way!
