Absurdly, my preparations have included a thorough clean of the house, when we all know it will look a train has passed through by midweek but at least for a moment I am safe in the knowledge it was clean and I can stare lovingly at how my house should look until 3pm when school breaks up.
I have decided for a carefree week, we’ll take it day by day and see what we fancy doing, it’s not often we are free of schedules so I’m going to enjoy this week for exactly that. If you’re looking for a simple but delicious recipe to try out here’s my Hungarian goulash slow cooker recipe it got top marks form the mister.
Mind you I have preparations in store, lots of them and not just the wedding plans which all seem to be coming together nicely.
No the preparations I need to tell you about are for my hen party! Actually I cancelled it. I was supposed to be eating out with all my lovely school mums, my twin mums and some good eggs that have stuck with me through thick and thin. The date and location had been set, a table reserved and the girls were getting excited.
And then I cancelled it.
Not because I’m a party pooper, no! It’s because the fabulous trio that are #TeamHonk have organised a Climb up Snowdon for Comic Relief on that Saturday and I really, really wanted to take part. My school mums have been ever so good about it and we’ll schedule a Mum’s night out hopefully before the Easter break to compensate
There’s quite a crew of us going and all of our sponsorship money goes into one big #TeamHonk pot but we all have our separate pages so here’s mine, click on the badge and even the smallest donation will make me very very happy, can you sponsor me £1? Pretty please?
If nothing else I’ll lose those last few pounds before the wedding on the 9th March I’m just a tiny bit worried about how broken my body will be by then? Any tips for a not-very-fit-but-eager-walker?
