I have been lucky enough to stay in the Hilton in Dubai on Jumeriah beach and loved it!

France they just love the children and the food is fabulous

  6. Penny Ford 27 September 2012 at 09:19 #

The kids just love going to PortAventura. It is Half board so they get to eat as much as they want. The kids club is great and the staff are really good with them. The theme park is right on your door step with rides the kids love. If you go for Halloween it is a brilliant atmosphere.

  7. Pamela 27 September 2012 at 09:26 #

Studland Bay, Knoll House – they have a separate Childrens’ Dining Room, adventure playground, golf course, fabulous location by the sea and exceptional staff (oh, and the sweet table is to diet for!)…

  8. Alison 27 September 2012 at 09:35 #

At the moment, with a 2.5 yr old, anywhere I don’t have to decant half the house with us that doesn’t involve long drives…too hot..too cold..too noisy…too crowded…

Actually…I’ll just stay at home till she’s at least 5 lol!

  9. Maria Webster 27 September 2012 at 09:53 #

Center Parcs. Kids absolutely loved this as they got to ride their bikes all day every day in safety which means we could relax. Usually holidays with kids are hard work but this was a doddle

  10. Sue Cole 27 September 2012 at 10:35 #

We go to Le Marche in Italy, beautiful and untouristy but great for kids as they love the food expecially the gelato ! Easy enough to add a trip to Rome in too, staying at the Cavalieri Hilton for some well deserved luxury.

  11. Maya Russell 27 September 2012 at 11:03 #

Florida is the perfect family destination. You have Disneyworld, the beautiful sandy beaches and, most importantly, the sunny weather!

  12. Bernice Cockrell 27 September 2012 at 11:12 #

Omaha beach, Normandy, France. We had a great time as a family. Lots of historic places to visit and not too expensive as a family. Great beach, beautiful scenery and not too far to drive. Absolutely loved our picnic on the beach ….. brought a whole new meaning to the word SANDwiches!!

  18. Rollercoaster Mum 28 September 2012 at 00:23 #

The perfect family holiday would be short – haul (so not too far to fly), with gorgeous, warm weather, five star family friendly hotel with lovely pool and friendly staff, kids activities laid on, next to a beautiful white sand beach with some great local restaurants nearby in an area with some exciting culture and fabulous wildlife for days out. All for a bargain price of course! (Well you did say perfect so I allowed myself to dream!)
    My email is rebecca.wallace@hotmail.co.uk.

  19. Make do mum 28 September 2012 at 09:25 #

I’d love to take the kids to Thailand one day: gorgeous beaches, yummy food & friendly locals :)

  20. MumReinvented 28 September 2012 at 09:34 #

Mine’s rather predictable in that I’d choose Florida as it offers so much for families. From the action packed Orlando area full of theme parks to the beautiful white sandy beaches further south it’s somewhere I’ve dreamed of taking my daughter since she was born 10 years ago (her baby brother would no doubt love it too!). It’s the ultimate family holiday and something for the kids rather than me (although I’d secretly be having more fun they would no doubt!) but it would be worth it for that once in a lifetime experience!

  21. Vicki L 28 September 2012 at 10:40 #

My perfect holiday location is somewhere warm (where it isnt raining!) with a beach where I could relax and have fun with my husband and children. We are always at our happiest when we are having fun together as a family.

  22. ToybuzzUK 28 September 2012 at 12:52 #

My perfect holiday destination would be somewhere

    * with a bit of sunshine (but not too much as I’m a redhead who can’t stand the heat)
    * Lovely plush hotel suite with separate kids bedroom
    * Huge family friendly swimming pool with lots of slides and a wave machine
    * Kids club activities for the youngsters to enjoy while I relax by the pool

  24. Catherine 28 September 2012 at 18:14 #

I love a city location in the UK for a short break, with a stay in a nice hotel. There’s always plenty to keep the family from getting bored such as places of historical interest, parks, concerts, cinemas, museums, tourist attractions and shopping on your doorstep.

  25. Elodie Ladlow 28 September 2012 at 19:53 #

Rome, because of the history , the culture, the art and the amazing food and italian language :)

  26. Lorraine/Squeaky Mom 28 September 2012 at 21:56 #

The dominican republic, gorgeous beaches, fab kids clubs and guaranteed sunshine

  33. Sarah Sharp 30 September 2012 at 10:09 #

Menorca, cala en bosch. This is a small resort that is geared for families. Lots of lovely restaurants with kids menus, fabulous beach, great water park, beautiful marina and great accommodation. I’m not a big package holiday fan, but this place ticked all the boxes. People there made the holiday, they were very accommodating to us with our disabled son and made it a holiday for everyone.

  34. Ann Paterson 30 September 2012 at 10:39 #

Sunny, but not roasting, villa with pool, beside the sea and within 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops

  36. Pul Pitt 30 September 2012 at 14:08 #

Woolacombe in North Devon. Sun, sea, sand and the most beautiful place in the world when looking back at the bay from the sea.

  37. Victoria Welton 30 September 2012 at 22:06 #

Normally the three of us visit Center Parcs so our ideal holiday would be somewhere that has activities to keep the three of us amused, certainly a pool with slides but the main thing is space for us to have time together away from the madding crowd!

  38. siobhan marie 01 October 2012 at 01:57 #

my perfect family holiday location hmmm …
well i think a family holiday no matter where you go is what you make of it yourself but little things set around our travels certainly do help. i like to stop somewhere where the locals are friendly , nothing worse than feeling not wanted. secondly activities whether its a beach a swimming pool, shopping or walking variety is the best option with children as they tend to get fed up quickly and last but not least would be some family friendly resturants xx

  39. layla fletcher 01 October 2012 at 08:29 #

I think it has to be Egypt.
Great weather, loads to do, friendly locals.
Kids clubs galore and loads to do,
Cant wait to go back with my family

  40. Lindy Hine 01 October 2012 at 09:06 #

  44. Sandy Calico 01 October 2012 at 20:26 #

I went to Barcelona years ago, before children. I’ve always wanted to go back and I’d love to take my children. There’s a beach for starters. My eldest son is obsessed with Spain and wants to try tapas. I’m not going to stop him!

    • Louise 01 October 2012 at 21:42 #

would love to take the family to Australia – the beaches and city life in Sydney and the fabulous zoo – lots for us all to enjoy!

  45. Steph 01 October 2012 at 22:27 #

Another vote for Florida – beaches, amusement parks, pools, great weather, so much to do to keep the children entertained! My email is stephcurtis007@o2.co.uk

  46. Kirsty Downie 02 October 2012 at 15:05 #

Maldives. Iru Fushi Heavenly Resort and Spa. Heavenly. With Mum. Sipping cocktails on the beach and celebrating Dad.

  47. Emma Bradshaw 02 October 2012 at 19:57 #

Somewhere with guaranteed sunshine, a nice child-friendly swimming pool and a cocktail bar for the parents!

  48. Lesa Clarke 02 October 2012 at 22:52 #

Most memorable family holiday we’ve had was California. Took the kids to the original Disneyland in Anaheim for 5 days and then spent a week on Coronado Island in San Diego which gave us the beach, the city, Balbao Park and zoo and Seaworld. That was two years ago and kids are still talking about it.

  49. Eileen Teo 03 October 2012 at 10:38 #

I think is Singapore. I miss home and my family! Wish I can go back now!

  50. Mandy Slater 03 October 2012 at 11:03 #

  51. Alison 03 October 2012 at 14:09 #

I would love to go back to Italy and take my son. There is so much to see, its lovely and warm and the people are so friendly

  52. Attachment Mummy 03 October 2012 at 22:15 #

Our two year old’s recent holiday was made perfect by animals to feed, ice cream to eat, sand to dig, and family to mess about with, so that’ll do me. The classic British holiday!

  53. LINDSEY CLARK 04 October 2012 at 06:49 #

Its got to be The Isle of Wight – something for all ages and a nice friendly safe vibe to the whole island. To me, there is no better place to be in Britain!

  54. Di Coke 04 October 2012 at 11:21 #

Barcelona – we’ve been twice with our son aged 18 months and almost 3. Tapas is perfect to share with toddlers, the beaches are clean and huge. The zoo is excellent, and there’s an aquarium and the amazing new Museu Blau to keep little ones happy too. Parc Guell is nice, but the green parks are fab too. The only downside is that because it’s a big city, it can be pricey – but go self-catering near Port Olimpic/Poblenou and the beaches, shop at the markets for fresh food and you’re sorted!

  55. Johnson Babies 06 October 2012 at 00:01 #

I would love for the family to take a trip to Disneyland. I think I’d settle for a fortnight anywhere which is family friendly though!

  56. nikki hilton 06 October 2012 at 12:45 #

  57. Dawn Newton 06 October 2012 at 15:04 #

I think Disneyland Florida is the perfect family-friendly holiday destination.

  58. Lilinha Angel's World 07 October 2012 at 21:41 #

My perfect family holiday location is somewhere where little man can run around while mummy and daddy can relax. As our son is only 3, so our perfect family holiday location at the moment is Brazil as we have our family over there and they can help us to look after him! :) x

  59. Kylie Hodges (@kykaree) 08 October 2012 at 07:14 #

We are a well travelled family and have stayed quite a few different places (and several times in Hiltons BTW)

The best place for family holidays is….believe it or not….Germany. Germans just get it. They know what families want, some of the pools we have been to which are partially council run, would put a 5 star resort to shame.

Cities are well laid out, many, like our favourite town Herford, containing children’s play equipment street side, perfect for little breaks in between cafes, bars and shopping.

The public transport system is cheap, its easy to get around, and even huge citiies like Berlin retain their family feel, and are a joy to get around with kids.

    Check it out!!!

  60. Emma The Mini Mes and Me 08 October 2012 at 09:30 #

Sun, sea, sand, entertainment and good food. The little ones can enjoy building sandcastles and playing in the water while the Mr and I can take it in turns to sunbathe then in the evening we can snuggle up to watch the sun go down with some cocktails, good food and music while the little ones dance away.

  61. Claire Toplis 08 October 2012 at 09:52 #

My perfect holiday .. Cold .. .. GoIng on a Snow mobile, skiing James Bond Style down a mountain. Driving Huskies over the frozernwastelands .. peace , quiet and a plethera of penguins.

  62. Actually Mummy... 08 October 2012 at 10:31 #

My perfect holiday would be in the Italian Lakes, warm but not too hot, famous chef to teach my children how to cook, and a comfy sun-lounger for me, with a great book.

  63. Susie Hunter 08 October 2012 at 17:59 #

My perfect family holiday is one that keeps the children happy, safe, entertained without comprimising on the standard of comfort and quality that parents need when trying to chill. The other must have’s are good food, wine, beaches and sun, now that is bliss.

  64. Jenny 08 October 2012 at 21:44 #

I dream that my perfect family holiday location is the Swiss Alps, preferably arriving by train. I don’t know if this is true but I hope one day we will all get to go!

  65. Carol oldham 08 October 2012 at 22:21 #

Somewhere we can all be together in perfect luxury

  66. Hayley green 11 October 2012 at 23:38 #

Somewhere tranquil, with a spa and lots of restaurants to try nearby, and of course a beach within a stones throw!

  67. Sara Friend 14 October 2012 at 13:44 #

Somewhere like Bruges where it is quick and easy to reach via Eusrostar and there is something for everyone.

  68. kathy 16 October 2012 at 13:39 #

Florida – themeparks, sunshine and white beaches = pure heaven

  69. Sarah 17 October 2012 at 06:19 #

It has to be Center Parcs. Everything is geared up for families, whether you’ve got babies or teenagers. There’s something for everyone. It’s both active and relaxing. And you don’t have to travel too far to get there! Always a bonus with kids!

  70. Lucy Pasifull 19 October 2012 at 07:41 #

Anywhere with a large pool, my kids are real water babies.

  73. kylie johnson 20 October 2012 at 15:30 #

CenterParcs is always good – keeps everyone happy :)

  74. Denise Small 21 October 2012 at 14:17 #

Center Parcs. We’ve been there several times over the years and it’s been great both for tiny tots (things like art and craft sessions) and teens (quad biking, 10 pin bowling, etc). Lovely setting too with plenty of wildlife about.

  75. Lesley Wheeler 21 October 2012 at 22:49 #

Isles of Scilly – dream holiday destination. Very little to do other than be a family – no games arcades, no beach vendors, no pressure! Just loads of quality time with the family.

  76. Andrew Scottwood 21 October 2012 at 23:43 #

my perfect holiday stay would be on La Rambles, Barcelona – with a balcony that looks over all the hustle and bustle going on down below.

Wondering round the parks and harbour during the day and sitting in cafe bars on an evening watching the variety of people stroll by.

Pure relaxation in calm amongst a hectic city.

  77. Rachel 22 October 2012 at 10:51 #

Somewhere where you feel safe and relaxed – a holiday where the children are happy makes parents happy. So plenty for young children to do and for parents to watch and play knowing their children are safe

  78. Sarah Davies 22 October 2012 at 17:55 #

Center Parcs. It’s a safe environment with lots to do (whatever the weather).

  79. Wayne McIntosh 24 October 2012 at 10:22 #

  80. S Ripley 24 October 2012 at 14:03 #

  81. tilly c 24 October 2012 at 16:51 #

    - a weekend in Winchelsea actually is rather fab….if you can borrow someone’s house by the sea that is. Sun, sea, and….oysters, and a view not destroyed by a wind farm…beach to play on, and easier than going to disneyland…

  82. olivia kirby 24 October 2012 at 17:04 #

North Yorkshire. Not a lot if travelling involved which is cheaper, better for the environment and not as boring for the kids. The beaches are beautiful and countryside amazing. No worries about language barrier/exchange rates/time differences and the kids can have a few extra treats as it is a low cost option.

  83. mike williams 24 October 2012 at 18:36 #

anywhere up north with my lovely family is fine by me

  84. Emma k 24 October 2012 at 23:11 #

  88. Ross Kennedy 25 October 2012 at 12:46 #

  89. Clare Parker 25 October 2012 at 16:24 #

Cyprus is lovely and my children loved it, it was very child friendly and family orientated and it is where me and my hubby got married, it is lovely and hot and plenty to do.
