Making a difference is so easy!

give as you liveBack to shool, back to routines, and for some of us it’s the time to start a bit of Christmas shopping. Whatever online shopping you’re doing this autumn, did you realise you can click a donation (and it’s not even your money!) to a charity of your choice every time you shop online?

Here’s how it works:

The retailer spends money on online services and through Give as you Live (GAYL) this money is actually redirected by the retailer to your specified charity.

All you have to do to redirect this money is register with Give As You Live.

Here’s our Give As You Live Ambassadors to tell you more about how they support their favourite charities so easily:

Mummy Barrow tells us how we can easily do our back-to-school shopping online and we can raise money for charity at the same time–by spending no extra money! Check out Mummy Barrow’s ideas for back-to-school shopping and helping your favourite charity in one go!

Mari provides a catch up on Give As You Live and suggests different shops that have signed up to Give As You Live as online shopping options. For example, I didn’t know Asda, Sainsbury, Ocado and Tesco all are signed up with Give As You Live–I do much of my grocery shopping online and this means I can be donating to my favourite charity every time I buy a weekly shop for my family. And I won’t be spending a penny extra to help other people through this app. Pop over to Mari’s World for some more ideas of where you can donate every time you shop!

Penny explains in a list of top 5 reasons why she has fallen out of love with shopping and prefers instead to shop online. And of course, there is that wonderful feel good factor again, that when Penny shops online, she can also be donating to her favourite chairty! Check out Penny’s post to see if you share any of these reasons.

And finally, Kate wants to highlight one charity in particular, the Make a Wish Foundation. A father of a girl with a rare terminal disease has made a video showing just how amazing the Make a Wish Foundation is and you can see that powerful video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfkiRwWgGwQ   Kate talks about the importance of making memories and reminds us that we can help others make memories through Give As You Live, every time we shop online, at no additional cost to us.

And now it’s your turn! Sign up to give to charity as you shop online here, or if you’re already signed up, tell us about the charity you have chosen in the comments below!

We are excited about our campaign to get more mums to shop through this service, sponsored by Give As You Live.
