What a week we’ve had! Jubilee madness spilling over into the beginning of the week, rain up to our eyeballs and half-term chaos! Who’s ready for the kids to go back to school then?
Throughout the busy times of the past week perhaps the blogging spirit in you is flagging a bit? Do you ever find yourself sitting down at the keyboard and wondering, “What the heck am I going to write about today?” or “Do we really need another poo story?” Well, a good poo story is always fun but we do need inspiration from time to time, don’t we? BritMums Blogging Prompts will hopefully give you a light-bulb moment for the coming week. Ready?
Prompt 1: Picnic Fun
As “summer” is very nearly here, our first prompt is Picnic Fun! Maybe you’d like to share a story about a brilliant picnic you had with the family? What about the “perfect” picnic?? What would it involve? Where would it be? What would you eat? Or maybe you’d like to give us an outstanding recipe to include in our next picnic? Simple, easy, have fun with this one!
Prompt 2: What you NEVER expected when you were expecting
The well-known “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” manual has been turned into a Hollywood film. Have you seen it? It’s an amusing take on how very different pregnancies can be. What we want to know is, what did you NEVER expect when you were pregnant? Did you thoroughly enjoy every second of pregnancy or were you surprised/amazed/horrified at the way your body changed? Did you sail through the 40 weeks or were there blips and hiccups along the way? Do you have a “top 10″ of things that the books and manuals never tell you? Share the glory and the agony of your pregnancies with us!
Now for the technical bit: write up one (or both) posts and publish it on your blog. Then pop back over here this week, add your thumbnail Linky to the bottom of the page and then visit some of the other bloggers on the list. I have always thought a prompt around the word “revelation” might result in some interesting posts.
Hi there – I have joined in…hope my patience post suits, I published it before the prompt, but think it fits in rather well…hope that’s OK? No-one expects to need this much patience BEFORE they are a parent!
