In tough economic times, ingenuity counts when it comes to saving money. We find parents are some of the most ingenious people for pinching pennies. Now your money-saving ideas could be worth £500 themselves!

Share your money-saving stories or tips to take part in our Piggy Bank Tales Competition, sponsored by Virgin Money. You could win one of two £500 prizes which you can choose to invest in a Virgin Stocks and Shares ISA to jumpstart your own nest egg if you want to!

Taking part is simple:

  1. On your blog, post your own Piggy Bank Tale. Whether you’re saving for a rainy day or you’re into investing in the stock market, it doesn’t matter – your stories or tips can be fun, quirky or serious! Make sure you specify on your post that this is your entry for the BritMums Piggy Bank Tales competition, sponsored by Virgin Money.
  2. Add the link to your post on the Piggy Bank Tales Linky below by 17:00 GMT on 10th  April.
  3. Soon after that, we’ll pick two winners at random for the £500 prize.
  4. Read the terms and conditions.
  5. Tweet about your involvement using the #VirginISA hashtag

    Are you able to clarify the T&C – “Prize-winners will be chosen randomly by an independent third party based on what they believe to be the best entry”

    Not sure if this is a random draw or judged!

    Hello Admin. The wife wanted a go, so I ‘interviewed’ or ‘interrogated’ her. I read the rules and saw you want a separate Blog, not separate post so I helped her create one. Therefore please note entry 36 became entry 38 and they are one and the same :)

    Money saving tips

    Always buy in bulk when a product you use is on special offer this in theory if it was 3 for the price of 2 should save you 33% of your annual shopping bill!

    Now bulk bake and cook then freeze in handy family sized portions and you will save on your fuel bills too!
