News recently of Pinterest’s astonishing growth was followed quickly by concerns about its Terms of Service. The terms seemed to allow the online photo sharing service to own content users pin and to sell it. (See our post 5 things that worry us about Pinterest.)
Yesterday subscribers received an email about its new Terms of Service, which addresses some concerns.
What they’ve done:
- They’ve taken out the contentious term allowing the service to resell users’ content.
- They’ve explicitly forbidden pins that encourage self-harm or abuse.
- They’ve released better tools for reporting alleged copyright or trademark infringement.
Read Pinterest’s blog post about its new terms. You can also find out more on Mashable. What do you think about them?
