I’ve had pets since I was born. Cats, dogs, mice, birds, rabbits…we even had a raccoon for a night. Personally, I believe that a pet makes a home homier. I currently have two cats that live in perpetual fear of my baby’s penchant for grabbing fur (I wrote two blog posts from my cats’ point of view which you can read here and here).
This month, I thought I’d highlight some animal-related blogs and websites with great photography. Prepare yourself for some serious “Awwww” factor.
Balaeric Bulldog – This blog, written by a British expat who lives in Ibiza, tells the tale of Lolo the Bulldog in pictures and short commentary. I love how Lolo’s personality comes through. He also has surprisingly good advice on places to eat on the island.
Brooke Mayo Doggie Friends – I started looking at Brooke’s work a while ago, drawn to her photographs of dogs underwater. In her other work, however, I feel that the relationship and love between owner and pet shines through. I especially like the pictures of her dog dressed as a squirrel for Halloween.
The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee – Well, the name alone deserves a mention. If you like cats and you like them small, this is the site for you.
Sharon Montrose Blog – It is physically impossible to view this blog without exclaiming “oh-my-goodness-that’s-so-cute!” at least once. Sharon uses a clean, simple style to capture a whole range of animals, from tame house cats to wild bears. And I love the idea of putting prints of baby animals in the nursery.
Tim Flach – Okay, so this isn’t technically a blog, but I just love the home page for this website. And have a look through the Dogs Gods section in his portfolio.
If you’ve got a post about the furry critter in your life, please share in our linky below.
