What did you think of the strikes?

Wednesday has come and gone. Personally, for me, it felt like a Satruday. Luckily I work for myself, and can rearrange my schedule fairly easily. But how about you, how did you cope with the strikes? I read about some parent giving their kids signs and joining in the demonstrations. On the other extreme, I read several twitter feeds of fed up parents with hyper kids. How did you cope? If you have written about the strikes, and your experience, please link below.

I have to ask those parents that were saying that had no idea what to do with their kids what exactly do they do with them at weekends, school holidays or in service days?

Personally I was all for the strike and despite having been made redundant 2 years ago I have a pension that was being messed about with. My wife runs a craft shop that was putting on extra kids classes to try and give parents something to do with their kids so although I wanted to take the kids along to the demostrations in the city centre we took our kids along to the classes instead so they’d have a little fun :)
