Blogger of the Week + 10 must-reads

Blogger of the Week This week we’re celebrating all things CyberMummy so it really seems only fitting to throw the spotlight on the individuals behind it’s creation. They’ve been blogging for years, changing the blogosphere in the process and have managed to orchestrate not one but soon-to-be two blogging conferences that have celebrated brilliance in blogging.

Back in 2009, following a Live Chat post-BlogHer ’09 on the then, British Mummy Bloggers network, the idea of having a conference of “our” own was put forth, seconded and thirded. A seed was planted and Jennifer Howze, Sian To and Susanna Scott decided to make that seed grow into something amazing; the first blogging conference of it’s kind in the UK. Through hours of hard work, meetings upon meetings, train journeys, coffees and probably a few grey hairs, CyberMummy 2010 was born.

200 bloggers attended CyberMummy 2010. The good vibes and boost in morale was palatable in the weeks following CyberMummy. Bloggers who had been unable to attend began saving for the next year. Bloggers who had attended gushed about the knowledge they had gained, the friends they had made and the networking they had achieved (and the wine some of them may or may not have drunk). CyberMummy 2010 was a feel-good event; CyberMummy 2011 stands to take that feel-good vibe to the next level. 400 bloggers will be learning, laughing and listening while amazing speakers, generous sponsors and loads of volunteers strive to make this year’s CyberMummy even better than before.

So, let’s give some mahoosive blogger love to the amazing CyberMummy founders: Jennifer Howze who blogs at Jenography; Susanna Scott who can be found at A Modern Mother and Sian To who is Mummy Tips. They may have been around the BritMums scene for some time now but they are more than worthy of being a regular read on your rota. And while we’re here, how about a standing ovation for the immense amount of work that these tireless bloggers have done for CyberMummy11?? **waits for the applause to die down** Thank you ladies, you most definitely rock.

Your 10 (actually 11) must-reads for this week are the bloggers who will be providing the moving and entertaining posts at the CyberMummy Crowdsourced Keynotes:

Keep counting down! Only 9 more sleeps after all!

    Hi,
The apostrophe in it’s in the first sentence of this post (This week we’re celebrating all things CyberMummy so it really seems only fitting to throw the spotlight on the individuals behind it’s creation.) is incorrect. The possessive of it is its, without an apostrophe.
    See:
    http://esl.about.com/od/grammarintermediate/a/cm_its.htm
“Its is the possessive pronoun form. This form is used to express that “it” has a specific quality, or that something belongs to “it”.
    Examples:
I found its taste to be superb!
Its color is deep red, almost Burgundy.
